This Regency Rosewood Card Table is a stunning piece of furniture that dates back to the early 19th century. Crafted in England between 1820 and 1830, this antique game table is made from high-quality rosewood and features an extendable design, making it easy to accommodate more players.The tabletop is made from rosewood and folds out to reveal a green felt surface, perfect for card and board games. Measuring 36 inches in length and 18 inches in width, this table is the ideal size for any room in your home. This gorgeous table is from the English Regency or William IV period, circa 1820 to 1830. I bought it in London in the late 1980's. It was appraised in 2007 at $5,800.00. The appraiser described the piece as follows: "The D-shaped top with cross banded edge and brass string inlays opens to reveal a green baize lining [for playing cards or other games], above a figured frieze with rectangular lozenges of brass stringing, on a squared, tapered pedestal with inlaid and gadoor plinth, all on an abacus base supported by four scroll shaped and inlaid legs with brass pas feet on casters".Condition: Some of the inlay has separated and there is some veneer loss on the edges of the top.
