RARE ANTIQUE AMERICAN NEW YORK CLASSICAL MAHOGANY AND BRASS CELLARETTE HIGHLY CARVED_CIRCA 1830 WITH BRASS INLAY Size: 33.5" high x 21" diameter. Unusual form here. Probably New York with the highly carved acanthus leaves pedestal and legs which terminate in brass paw feet. The brass inlaid medallion on top has in a filled in non matching painted replacement as seen. Aiso a small section of line brass inlay missing as I am showing in photos. However, based on age of this piece, the overall condition is very good. There is a mahogany insert for bottle placement as seen. Zinc lined. Has a later hinged chain. The brass pulls are probably a later enhancement. Wear seen on tripod splayed legs and and center post with a glued foot. Very handsome piece and truly a conversation piece.
