Antique Primitive Oak Drop Leaf Farmhouse Kitchen Table
Antique Primitive Oak Drop Leaf Farmhouse Kitchen Table. Size with leaves down is aprox 42"x27". with drop leaves up is aprox 42"x53.5" Table is aprox 29" high. This is a very old table but strong made of hard wood Unlike what you would buy new today. I believe this is an old oak table with a walnut stain finish. It has I believe wrought Iron bars under each leaf to drop it down as shown in one of the pictures. This could be refinished or painted but I have used it this way for many years as I love the old used look.I believe this to be from the 1920s or older but I don't know this for sure. The table has the original white caster wheels on it. This table has been in my family for at least 40 years & before that my husband's grandmother had it. It has lots of dings & dents & cracks from years of use which gives it lots of character. At one end of the table there is a small piece cut out of it. My husband said his grandfather cut it out so his grandmother could attach a hand grinder to it to make ham salad . If you prefer newer things this table is not for you. I love antiques & I hate to give it up but I have downsized & have no space for it anymore. The 2 chairs are included in the sale. Buyer will not ship this item. This is for pickup only in Indianapolis, Indiana. I will not accept returns so you need to come & see it for yourself.
