Antique Wash Stand, New England, 19th century
Early 19th century washstand of pine. It retains its original finish and patina. It has a small dovetailed drawer with what appears to be the original pull. In a 1990's magazine, most likely Colonial Homes, an estimate of $400. was assessed on a very similar stand. I purchased this from a large Pittsburgh, Pa. estate of antiques in the 20th century and have cared for it since in a smoke free and pet free home. The blue and white items are not included. Please so not hesitate to send questions. Thank you.
