It is a reproduction of an original piece from a photo in colonial Homes magazine. -Constructed of American Black Cherry -Uses pine as a secondary wood in drawers -Dovetail constructed drawers -Dovetail and mortise styles, rails and -carcass -Lathe turned pad feet -Constructed entirely by hand -Constructed using traditional hide glue -Aniline dye finish and approximately 10 coats of orange and blonde shellac -Hand rubbed with wax to a satiny finish -Undersides coagted and sealed with shellac to limit wood movement due to humidity -Antique cherry red color -Solid brass pulls made by Ball and Ball of Pennsylvania. The builder kept actual hours on this piece and invested 250 hours start to finish.
