Unique elongated diamond shaped base, with each side being curved inward. The top is a long rectangle with curved corners and a deep, 3" skirt. The piece is completely veneered in a tessellated rectangles of stone with a large number of fossils. The colors are a dark charcoal/near black and a mottled cream/brown/greys. The graphic pattern is neatly defined with inlaid strips of antiqued brass. The same techniques are used on the base, with solid brass strips accented each of the flat ends of the diamond shape. Labeled on the underside of the base. Retails in the $25,000 plus range. In excellent condition. There are some very minor scuffs on the brass plates that face the four sides of the base, and some small areas of lacquer discoloration but again, very minimal. No nicks, dings or flaws in the stone. Exceptionally clean. Please note since this table is made of Tessellated Fossil Stone, all hand done, it is quite heavy. The base does detach from the top. Measurements: The top is 72" x 41" and has a 3" skirt that is flush with the surface. The base is 42" x 25", and is 28.25" tall. From the floor to the underside of the skirt is appx. 26.75".
