Old Hickory 70" Gateleg Dual Drop Leaf Dining Room Table w/Heart Shaped Cutouts
You are buying one antique (or very vintage), Old Hickory Furniture Company, dual drop leaf gate leg table. When the leaves are down it measures approximately 70" long and 24" wide. When the leaves are up it is approximately 70" in diameter (round). The height is 29" in either position. The finish is white or whitewashed but does have some wear (mostly on top) and has started to yellow in areas. Structurally however, this table is in very good condition for it's age and was clearly well made. As you can see by the pics, each of the main supports has a large heart-shaped cutout. Based on my research I think this table was made in the mid to late 1920's but I am not 100% certain. I personally own this but it originally belonged to my grandparents. I am not a dealer, collector nor an expert on antique furniture. However, this table obviously very rare & one of a kind and would be a very stately piece if were to be refinished. Please view pics closely and email me with any questions. There is no shipping on this item. It is pick-up only in Frankfort, ILLINOIS. Being sold as-is. Thanks for looking.
