Signed Linke Gilt-bronze Mounted Kingwood, Satiné & Floral Marquetry Side Table
A rare and impressive gilt- bronze mounted kingwood, Satiné and floral marquetry inlay side table. Stamped Linke ( Francois Linke ) French (1855- 1946 ). Paris, circa 1920. H : 20 inches ( 51 cm ) Diameter : 23.5 inches ( 60 cm ) Minor scratches due to age. Minor burn at floral marquetry ( as shown in photos ). Stamped on the bronze circle frame top LINKE ( as shown in photos). Stamped on the bronze circle frame from inside F L ( 3 times ) and number 240 ( as shown in photos). Stamped in the wood from underneath: Made in France ( as shown in photos ). Missing veneer at the edges of the 4 legs ( as shown in photos ). I put the bronze out of the table, cleaned it manually with no chemicals to keep the original gilding, cleaned the whole table and polished it in the French polishing way ( as shown on photos ).
