Vintage Drexel Heritage MCM End Table Two Tier Fruitwood/Pecan Lovely Warm Brown
Here is a lovely vintage Drexel Heritage end table which is dated 1962. The timeframe is the height of midcentury modern although this table has a mix of traditional and French provincial styling as well. I believe it's fruitwood with probably a pecan veneer insert for the top. Most of the table is solid wood and I could certainly be wrong about the wood type as I'm no expert that's for sure. It has a wonderful patina with a warm almost golden-brown hue. It's in excellent condition for its age with nary a mark on it. I love the way the grain work on the top seems to all point to the center. Drexel actually bought the Heritage Furniture Co. of High Point, NC in 1957 but they continued to use the Heritage name exclusively on certain products. It was until the late 60s or so that the words Drexel Heritage began to appear together on their furniture pieces. I will list the table as local pickup only but will be more than happy to facilitate shipping through someone like uShip at the buyer's expense. Drexel made some wonderful furniture in its day and this piece is a fine example of both their style skills and craftsmanship for sure. Thanks for looking.
