Vintage Hamilton drafting table - Mid Century Circa 1950's
Mid Century Modern - ‘Hamilton’ Large drafting table 9ca. 1950’s, Two Rivers, Wisconsin, USA) composed of a stained and lacquered maple surface with stained oak base.All original brass accents, edging and trim, for slide rules. Drafting surface has been refinished (not uncommon); light wear remains on the surface and border (few scuffs). There is some light wear and staining to the underside, but overall in excellent condition, and has been lovingly taken care of, and when not is use, properly stored in a dry, cool, storage unit.The frame and base has only ever been oiled.When the surface is flat, the height adjusts from 33.5”-43”. When the surface is collapsed, the height is 57.5”. The surface itself measures: L:60” x D:38.25” x H:1.25”. The base measures: D:28” x L:48”. Listed dimensions reflect the table flat at its highest setting.(Comparable drafting tables, in age and era, shown for reference, and for finish and price - this is a one of a kind and hard to find in this shape)
